320GB Seagate Ext. Harddrive - $111 New Futureshop - 2007/08/28 13:44
Hi Guys
The best thing about this drive is its 5 year warranty and of'course it is coming from Seagate which is the best company from drive. To get it for $116 you have to ask new future shop for price match. So it goes like this -
Seagate Freeagent 320GB Desktop Drive
Best Buy is selling this drive for $120
BestBuy Link
Futureshop is selling for $200
Futureshop Link
Ask them Price match 110% as per there policy
so it is 200-120 = 80
10% of 80 = 8$ Effective pice at futureshop will be 120-8 = 112$
Pick up one coupon from their desk offering 15$ off on any purchase over 100$ (this coupon is floating due to new opening of futureshop only applicable at Guelph for limited time period)
So final price will be 112-15 = $97 + taxes = $110.58
Take the print out from bestbuy website and tell them that it is in stock there. They may try to bluff you saying that it is not in stock at bestbuy but you can tell them to call or you can call from their store itself. In worst case even if bestbuy is out of stock you can tell them that you can buy it online and if they want they can add shipping charges which is just $3.99. so they can do price match with $124. As Segun said in mailing list that futureshop is overpricing the item, that's true and that's why here we are taking advantage of pricematching
