mail-in-rebate(MIR) - 2006/11/24 04:35
I have received a few mails regarding reliability of mail-in-rebate. Well, I have been lucky with MIR (mail-in-rebate) so far. But I have heard people complaining about not receiving rebates. I think if we send MIR carefully then usually it goes well. By carefully I mean sending rebate with all required documents such as:
1) cut out of barcode from the wrapper 2) proof of purchase (packing slip/mailed invoice along with shipment) 3) MIR form
Please remember to send the MIR well before the expiry date and be patient as it takes about 6-8 weeks usually to get your money back.
So, till now I am ok with mail-in-rebate, no bitter experiences yet...Good luck with your rebate...
regards, Raj
