Co-expression with same selection antibiotic - 2007/02/07 10:31
Hi
Let me start this new forum with a doubt i have related to my research. I am expressing a gene in Ecoli which contains Kan resistant gene. Now i want to express another protein in another plasmid which also contains Kan resistant gene. I will co-transform both the plasmids in the same host cell. Now i am wondering if the Ecoli will keep both the plasmid or it may kick either of them ? Any one has experience about this ? Please comment... Let other researches know about this problem and encourage them to reply here.... Thanks!
