Here is what I have done and it works fine. Set up a gmail account that has more than 2Gb space. Then go to the Computing & Communications Services (CCS) website (link below)

And type your gmail address into the forwarding box. then give your USER ID and password and you are done!!
another tips: If you want to send message from gmail account and you want the receiver get if by your uoguelph email address, the you need to do one more step:
go to your gmail account, go to settings(right side of the mail box) and then select the second option called accounts, in the "send mail as" option, add another email address that is your uoguelph email address and select it as your default.
By doing these steps, you will reducing Junk mails by 95% or more and you still sending email by your uoguelph account address!
