The tuition fees at the University of Guelph have been rising enormously during the past few years. Despite the last years huge increase in international student fees, it is again going to be increased by a considerable figure this fall.

During the Budget Town Hall held on 7th March, President of the University, Alistair Summerlee explained that even after increasing the tuition, they will have a huge deficit in their budget which they cannot settle. Salaries and compensations of the university staff are among the main pressures applied on reconciling the budget.
